August is preferred for sheep hunting due to its milder temperatures, which range from 32°F (0°C) to 60°F (21°C) and before snowfall while sheep are easier to spot. Hunters are flown in to our high-altitude Spike Camps, which serve as a base for operations. We provide one guide for each hunter. Spike camps, some of which are located well above tree line, are accessible via bush plane and are well equipped with comfortable tents, supplies and high frequency radios for communication with the lodge. |
Harvest tickets and metal locking tags are required for sheep hunting, and they should be obtained when you buy your hunting license. They are required by law and you must have them in your possession when you hunt these animals. Current license and tag fees are included on these pages. |
